Viognier was grafted onto semillon vines in '99 (the vines planted '90), hand-picked 28 Feb, whole bunch-pressed, fermented in used barriques, 15.47g/l residual sugar. Distinctly rich and very complex, indeed with a savoury component. The cynical would say this is the best use for viognier other than 5% in a shiraz viognier blend.---- 90 points, James Halliday
